The Ordinary Coupons & Promo Codes
The Ordinary almost never uses promo codes. The brand's core philosophy is to offer the lowest possible price year-round, so they do not participate in the typical cycle of sales and coupons. Searching for 'The Ordinary promo codes' is almost always fruitless. The only significant, reliable discount is their single, site-wide annual sale in November. Any other codes you see are likely expired, fake, or for third-party retailers.
The Ordinary promo codes working right now
Codes below are ordered by how many shoppers reported them working at checkout. We show failure counts too — a code that failed for most people is worth knowing about.
No verified The Ordinary code is live right now.
That is the honest answer, and it is more useful than a list of dead codes. The Ordinary’s reliable savings are the standing offers below — or run a live search and we will scan social posts and deal boards for anything that surfaced in the last few hours.
The Ordinary discounts that work every day
Codes come and go. These are the standing programmes that are available whether or not a code is live, and for most shoppers they are worth more than a one-off code.
| Offer | Typical value | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| The Annual November Sale | Typically 23% off sitewide | For the entire month of November, The Ordinary (and parent company Deciem) runs a sitewide sale. They often refer to it as 'Slowvember' to encourage mindful purchasing. The discount is automatically applied to all products. This is the only major sale of the year. On Black Friday itself, they often close their site and stores to protest hyper-consumerism, but the sale runs for the rest of the month. |
| Product Sets & Bundles | A slight cost savings over individual purchase | The Ordinary offers curated kits like 'The Daily Set' or 'The Balance Set'. The total price for the set is typically lower than buying each included product individually. The savings are modest, but these sets are a good way to try a complete routine for a lower initial cost. |
| Free Shipping Threshold | Free standard shipping on qualifying orders | Meet the minimum purchase threshold, which is usually displayed in the site header. This is typically around $30 for US orders. The minimum spend can change, so always check the current requirement before checking out. |
How to actually save at The Ordinary
The Ordinary is a cult-favorite skincare brand from parent company Deciem, famous for its clinical formulations at shockingly low prices. Their business model is built on price transparency and avoiding traditional markups, which means conventional sales and promo codes are not part of their strategy. Savings are found in other, very specific ways.
- Wait for November. If you can, stock up during their month-long 23% off sale. This is the single biggest and most reliable discount The Ordinary offers all year.
- Do not waste time looking for promo codes. The brand simply doesn't use them. Your time is better spent planning a purchase for November or buying from a retail partner.
- Buy The Ordinary during Sephora or Ulta's store-wide sales. Using Sephora's VIB Sale discount or Ulta's points and coupons on The Ordinary products is the best way to get a discount outside of November.
- Purchase a pre-made Regimen Set. If you're new to the brand or looking for a specific routine, the sets offer a small but real savings compared to buying products one by one.
- Bundle your order to hit the free shipping minimum. Since the products are inexpensive, you may need to buy several items to qualify, but it beats paying for shipping.
When The Ordinary actually discounts
Timing beats codes at most retailers. This is The Ordinary’s real markdown pattern.
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| November ('Slowvember') | The brand's only major annual sale, with a sitewide discount (usually 23%) for the entire month. This is the best time to buy. |
| Black Friday | The Ordinary famously boycotts the day itself by shutting down their website and stores, though their month-long November sale continues before and after. |
| New Product Launches | While not a sale, new product releases can sometimes be accompanied by free shipping promotions or limited-edition introductory sets. |
The Ordinary coupon questions
- Does The Ordinary have promo codes?
- Almost never. The brand's model is to offer low prices every day. The only time a site-wide discount is available is during their annual November sale. Any other codes found online are almost certainly not valid.
- When does The Ordinary have sales?
- The Ordinary has one major sale per year. It runs for the entire month of November and typically offers 23% off sitewide. They do not run other seasonal sales like Memorial Day or Labor Day.
- Is it cheaper to buy The Ordinary at Sephora?
- The sticker prices are identical. However, you can get The Ordinary for less by purchasing it from Sephora or Ulta during their store-wide sales events, like the Sephora VIB sale, where you can apply a percentage discount to your entire cart.
- Does The Ordinary offer a student or military discount?
- No. In line with their philosophy of offering the same low price to everyone, The Ordinary does not have special discount programs for students, military members, or any other specific group.
- How can I get free shipping on The Ordinary?
- You can get free standard shipping by meeting a minimum order total. In the US, this amount is typically around $30, but it is best to confirm the current threshold on their website's header before placing an order.

How we check The Ordinary codes
The Ordinary is a brand where most coupon pages have nothing real to list, so this one is built to prove a negative rather than pad it. We check theordinary.com’s own offers and help pages first, then deal boards and social, and when nothing legitimate is circulating we say so instead of reprinting an expired event code. The standing programmes above are verified against The Ordinary’s published terms, because those are the part that stays true between sales.
When a shopper reports a code worked or failed at checkout, that vote is recorded and moves the code up or down this page. We publish the failures next to the successes, because a page showing only wins is not telling you the truth about coupon codes, most of which do not work. Codes that keep failing come down rather than stay up collecting clicks. Need something more current? Run a live search for The Ordinary.
