Prose Coupons & Promo Codes
Promo codes for Prose do exist, but they are most often targeted at new customers (often via a referral link) or offered during major sale events like Black Friday. Sitewide codes for existing customers are rare. The core way to save is by subscribing through 'The Salon', which provides a consistent discount, free shipping, and other perks on every recurring order. Most generic codes found on coupon sites are expired first-order offers or simply do not work.
Prose promo codes working right now
Codes below are ordered by how many shoppers reported them working at checkout. We show failure counts too — a code that failed for most people is worth knowing about.
No verified Prose code is live right now.
That is the honest answer, and it is more useful than a list of dead codes. Prose’s reliable savings are the standing offers below — or run a live search and we will scan social posts and deal boards for anything that surfaced in the last few hours.
Prose discounts that work every day
Codes come and go. These are the standing programmes that are available whether or not a code is live, and for most shoppers they are worth more than a one-off code.
| Offer | Typical value | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| The Salon Membership | 15% off every order, plus other perks | Choose to subscribe to any product during checkout. This automatically enrolls you in The Salon, applying a 15% discount to that order and all future subscription orders. The discount only applies to recurring subscription orders. You can adjust, pause, or cancel shipments at any time. |
| Refer a Friend | Give a discount, get rewards points | Share your unique referral link from your Prose account. When a friend makes their first purchase using your link, they typically receive a discount (like $10 off), and you receive rewards points (commonly 500 points, equivalent to $10).The reward for the referrer is in points, not cash, and the new customer must use the specific link to receive their discount. |
| The Salon Rewards Points | Points redeemable for dollar-off discounts | As a Salon member, you earn points for purchases, referring friends, and completing activities like leaving a review. Points can be redeemed at checkout for discounts on future orders. You must be an active subscriber (a Salon member) to earn and redeem points. |
| New Customer Offers | Typically a discount or a free product | New customers can often find an offer for their first purchase, either through a referral link from a friend or through a promotion featured on the Prose website. These offers are for first-time purchasers only and cannot be combined with other promotions. |
How to actually save at Prose
Prose creates custom-formulated hair care, skin care, and supplements based on an online consultation. Savings at Prose are less about hunting for one-off promo codes and more about participating in their subscription and loyalty program, called The Salon, which offers the most substantial and repeatable discounts.
- If you plan to buy more than once, subscribe. The 15% Salon discount is the largest and most reliable savings Prose offers, and it beats any one-off code you might find.
- For your first order, find a referral link. Asking a friend or searching social media for a current user's link will usually get you a better deal than Prose's standard new customer offer.
- Stack your rewards points. Let your points from referrals and reviews accumulate in your account and apply them to a subscription order for a significant one-time saving.
- Adjust your formula for free instead of buying new products. If your hair changes, retake the consultation. Prose will tweak your formula for your next shipment at no extra cost.
- Wait for Black Friday. If you only want to make a one-time purchase without subscribing, the Black Friday and Cyber Monday window is the most likely time to find a general discount or a valuable gift with purchase.
When Prose actually discounts
Timing beats codes at most retailers. This is Prose’s real markdown pattern.
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Black Friday / Cyber Monday (late November) | This is Prose's most significant sale of the year. Expect special offers on first-time subscriptions and potentially a discount or high-value free gift with one-time purchases. |
| Holiday Season (December) | Promotions often continue through December, focusing on gifting and value sets, sometimes with bundled savings. |
| Occasional Seasonal Promotions | Prose may run smaller promotions around events like Mother's Day or the start of a new season, often announced via email or social media to their followers. |
Prose coupon questions
- Does Prose offer promo codes?
- Yes, but they are not common for existing customers. Most codes are for new customers, often via a referral link. The most reliable way for anyone to save money is to join their subscription program, The Salon, for 15% off every order.
- How does the Prose subscription (The Salon) work?
- When you subscribe to a product, you are automatically in The Salon. You get 15% off and free shipping on every order. You also earn rewards points. You have full control to change your formula, adjust your shipping frequency, pause, or cancel at any time through your account.
- What is the best discount for a first Prose order?
- Using a referral link from an existing customer is typically the best deal. It usually offers a specific dollar amount off, like $10, which can be more valuable than other new customer promotions.
- Does Prose have a student or military discount?
- Prose does not currently offer a standing, verifiable discount program for students, military members, or healthcare workers through services like ID.me or Student Beans.
- What is the best sale event at Prose?
- The Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale in late November is the most predictable and substantial sale event. It's the best time to look for deals on both subscriptions and one-time purchases.
- Can I use my Prose products if my hair needs change?
- Yes, and for free. Prose offers free reformulations. You can retake the consultation at any time, and they will update the formula for your next scheduled shipment based on your new needs or goals.

How we check Prose codes
Every code here came from somewhere we can point at — prose.com, a deal board, or a social post — and carries the date we last saw it in the wild. Prose changes its offers often enough that a code’s age matters as much as its headline value, which is why that date sits next to it.
When a shopper reports a code worked or failed at checkout, that vote is recorded and moves the code up or down this page. We publish the failures next to the successes, because a page showing only wins is not telling you the truth about coupon codes, most of which do not work. Codes that keep failing come down rather than stay up collecting clicks. Need something more current? Run a live search for Prose.
