Outdoor Voices Coupons & Promo Codes
Promo codes at Outdoor Voices are fairly common, but they come with specific rules. You can almost always get a code for your first order by signing up for emails. Other sitewide codes appear during holidays or sale events, but they are not a constant presence. Crucially, promo codes typically do not stack with other offers and often exclude items already on sale in the 'OV Extra' section. The most consistent discounts are for specific groups like students and healthcare workers.
Outdoor Voices promo codes working right now
Codes below are ordered by how many shoppers reported them working at checkout. We show failure counts too — a code that failed for most people is worth knowing about.
No verified Outdoor Voices code is live right now.
That is the honest answer, and it is more useful than a list of dead codes. Outdoor Voices’s reliable savings are the standing offers below — or run a live search and we will scan social posts and deal boards for anything that surfaced in the last few hours.
Outdoor Voices discounts that work every day
Codes come and go. These are the standing programmes that are available whether or not a code is live, and for most shoppers they are worth more than a one-off code.

How to actually save at Outdoor Voices
Outdoor Voices is a popular activewear and athleisure brand built around the idea of 'Doing Things' for fun and recreation. Known for its distinct color palettes and comfortable, versatile materials like CloudKnit and LightSpeed, the brand's signature products include The Exercise Dress and a wide range of leggings, tops, and sweats for everyday movement.
- If you are a student, teacher, or medical professional, get the verified 20% discount. It is the most reliable offer available for full-priced gear.
- Always check the 'OV Extra' sale section first. The discounts are significant, especially if you are not set on a specific new-arrival color.
- Build a Kit. Outdoor Voices often offers a discount for buying select tops and bottoms together as a 'kit', which can be a better value than buying them separately even with a code.
- Sign up for the email list, even with a secondary email address, to get a first-time purchase discount and to be notified of major sales.
- Don't expect promo codes to work on sale items. The best OV Extra deals happen when the section itself gets an additional markdown, no code needed.
- Use the free exchange portal for size or color swaps on full-priced items to avoid the standard $6 return-for-refund fee. If you are unsure about sizing for a final sale item in OV Extra, check the detailed product measurements and customer reviews, as these items cannot be returned or exchanged.
- For international orders processed via their partner Global-e, note that duties and taxes are often not included at checkout. You will likely be responsible for paying these import fees upon delivery, so factor this potentially significant extra cost into your budget when shopping from outside the US.
- Look for curated bundles beyond the standard kits, such as the 'Rectrek System' or seasonal travel sets. These pre-selected bundles often offer a deeper discount than building your own kit and are featured on the homepage or in emails during specific promotions.
When Outdoor Voices actually discounts
Timing beats codes at most retailers. This is Outdoor Voices’s real markdown pattern.
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Black Friday / Cyber Monday (late November) | This is typically the biggest sale of the year. Expect a sitewide discount or, more commonly, major additional markdowns on items in the OV Extra sale section. |
| End of Season Sales (January and July) | Outdoor Voices clears out seasonal inventory to make room for new collections. These sales are a great time to find discounts on past-season colors. |
| Holiday Weekends (e.g., Memorial Day, Labor Day) | The brand often runs promotions during three-day holiday weekends, which could be a sitewide percentage off or a special offer on select categories. |
| Weekly 'New Arrivals' Drops (Tuesdays) | New colorways for core styles like The Exercise Dress and FrostKnit leggings, plus entirely new seasonal items. Popular colors and limited edition products can sell out within hours of the drop, so checking the site on Tuesday mornings is key for securing high-demand gear before it is gone. |
| OV Trail Shop Events (Variable Dates) | Special in person events and sales at the OV Trail Shop, their physical outlet store located in San Marcos, Texas. These events, often announced on local social media channels, feature exclusive discounts, past season inventory, and 'slightly imperfect' items at prices significantly lower than the online OV Extra section. |
Outdoor Voices coupon questions
- Does Outdoor Voices have a student discount?
- Yes. Outdoor Voices offers a discount, typically 20%, to verified students, teachers, medical professionals, first responders, and military members. You can access it by verifying your status through ID.me on their website. It usually applies to full-priced items only.
- How can I get a 20% off code for Outdoor Voices?
- The two most reliable ways are by verifying your professional status (student, medical, military) for a 20% discount on full-priced items, or by signing up for their email newsletter as a new customer for a one-time welcome offer, which is commonly 20% off.
- Can you stack coupons at Outdoor Voices?
- No, Outdoor Voices does not allow coupon stacking. You can only use one promo code per order. Furthermore, promo codes typically do not apply to items that are already on sale in the OV Extra section.
- What is OV Extra?
- OV Extra is the name of the permanent sale section on the Outdoor Voices website. It features discounted items, seasonal styles, and last-chance products. Discounts can be significant, but selection is limited and sales are often final.
- When is the best time to buy from Outdoor Voices?
- The best times are during their Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales in late November, or during their end-of-season sales in January and July. These periods see the steepest markdowns, particularly on sale items.
- What is the specific return and exchange policy for online orders?
- Outdoor Voices accepts returns and exchanges on most items within 45 days of the delivery date, provided they are unworn, unwashed, and have tags attached. Exchanges for a different size or color are free. For returns requesting a refund to the original payment method, a $6 handling fee is typically deducted. Importantly, items purchased from the 'OV Extra' sale section are usually marked as final sale and are not eligible for returns or exchanges, so be certain about your sizing before purchasing from that category.
- What are the shipping costs and thresholds for US orders?
- Outdoor Voices offers free standard shipping on all orders totaling over $75 within the contiguous United States. For orders that do not meet this threshold, a flat rate standard shipping fee of around $6 is typically applied. They also provide expedited shipping options for an additional cost if you need your gear more quickly. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories may have different rates and timelines. The free shipping threshold is calculated based on the subtotal after discounts are applied, so be mindful of that when using a promo code.
- How should I care for specific fabrics like CloudKnit and TechSweat?
- To maintain the quality of signature fabrics, machine wash cold with like colors and tumble dry on low heat. For activewear materials like TechSweat and Lightspeed, it's crucial to avoid using fabric softener, as it can degrade the sweat wicking properties of the technical fibers. For softer lounge fabrics such as All-Day and the popular CloudKnit, washing them inside out can help prevent pilling. Always check the specific item's care tag for the most accurate instructions to ensure the longevity of your apparel.
- Do Outdoor Voices gift cards expire or have restrictions?
- Outdoor Voices gift cards are delivered digitally via email and do not have an expiration date, giving the recipient flexibility on when to use them. They can be redeemed for any merchandise on outdoorvoices.com, including items in the OV Extra sale section, and can also be used at their retail store locations. The gift card balance can be applied at checkout and if the order total is less than the card's value, the remaining balance will be saved on the card for a future purchase. They are a final sale item.

How we check Outdoor Voices codes
Every code here came from somewhere we can point at — outdoorvoices.com, a deal board, or a social post — and carries the date we last saw it in the wild. Outdoor Voices changes its offers often enough that a code’s age matters as much as its headline value, which is why that date sits next to it.
When a shopper reports a code worked or failed at checkout, that vote is recorded and moves the code up or down this page. We publish the failures next to the successes, because a page showing only wins is not telling you the truth about coupon codes, most of which do not work. Codes that keep failing come down rather than stay up collecting clicks. Need something more current? Run a live search for Outdoor Voices.
