Lulus Coupons & Promo Codes
Lulus almost always has a promo code active, but they come with specific rules. Typically, codes apply to full-price items only and exclude categories like bridal, beauty, and wellness. You can only use one code per order, so you cannot stack a percentage-off code with a free shipping code. The most reliable discount is the one offered for signing up for emails or texts, which is designed for new customers.

Lulus discounts that work every day
Codes come and go. These are the standing programmes that are available whether or not a code is live, and for most shoppers they are worth more than a one-off code.
| Offer | Typical value | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| New Customer Email & SMS Signup | Commonly 15% off your first order | Sign up for emails or text messages through the pop-up or a link in the site's footer. | Love Rewards | Points on purchases, birthday rewards, and exclusive offers | Create a free account on the Lulus website. You are automatically enrolled and start as an 'Insider', moving up to 'Achiever' and 'VIP' tiers with increased annual spending. The best perks, like early access to sales, are reserved for the higher tiers which require significant spending to reach. |
| Refer-a-Friend | $20 for you, $20 off for your friend | Use your unique referral link to invite a friend. When they make their first purchase of $50 or more, they get $20 off, and you receive a $20 coupon. The referred friend must be a new customer, and their order must meet the minimum spend threshold after the discount is applied. |
| Student Discount | 10% off | Verify your student status through Student Beans. You will receive a unique code to apply at checkout. The discount cannot be combined with other promo codes and shares the same brand and category exclusions. |
| Sale Section | Typically 20-70% off | Navigate to the 'Sale' tab in the main menu. How to actually save at Lulus
Lulus is an online hub for affordable, on-trend women's fashion, particularly known for its extensive collection of dresses for events like weddings and proms. The brand regularly issues promo codes, but the most significant and consistent savings come from the first-order discount, the Love Rewards loyalty program, and special promotions on their already-reduced sale section.
- If you are a new customer, the email or text signup code is almost always the best discount you will get for a full-price order.
- Always browse the sale section first. Lulus often runs 'extra 30% off sale' (or a similar offer) promotions, which can result in better deals than a code on a full-price item.
- Join the free Love Rewards program even if you only plan to buy once. You might earn a surprise offer or a birthday discount later.
- Free shipping is standard on US orders over $50. If your cart is just under, it's cheaper to add a small sale item than to pay for shipping.
- Abandon your cart. If you are logged into your account and leave items in your cart for a day or two, you may receive a reminder email with a small discount code to encourage you to complete the purchase.
- Before buying, check the 'Sizing' tab on the product page for specific garment measurements, not just the general size chart. Cross reference these with your own measurements and look for 'Fit Expert' notes. Also, read recent customer reviews, as shoppers often provide crucial real-world feedback on whether an item from one of Lulus' exclusive lines runs true to size, small, or large, which is more reliable than a generic guide.
- Popular items in exclusive collections, such as Lulus bridesmaid dresses, sell out quickly. Always use the 'Back in Stock' email notification feature if your size is unavailable. Customer returns are frequent, so a sold-out size can reappear within days. You must act immediately upon receiving the notification email, as the small number of restocked items are often purchased again very quickly by other shoppers who were also waiting for the restock.
- Pay close attention to the distinction between 'Sale' and 'Final Sale' items. Most items in the general sale section can be returned according to the standard policy. However, items marked 'Final Sale', which are often the most deeply discounted, cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason. Always verify an item's return eligibility in your shopping cart before completing the purchase, as this status is non-negotiable after the order is placed.
When Lulus actually discounts
Timing beats codes at most retailers. This is Lulus’s real markdown pattern.
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Black Friday & Cyber Monday (late November) | Lulus's biggest sale of the year. Expect a significant sitewide discount, which in past years has often included an extra percentage off all sale items. |
| End-of-Season Sales (January & July) | Major clearance events to make way for new inventory. Look for deep markdowns in the sale section, often paired with an 'extra off' promotion. |
| Annual Birthday Sale (October) | Lulus celebrates its 'birthday' with a multi-day sale event, typically featuring a sitewide discount code applicable to most items. |
| Mid-Spring (around April) | Prom & Formal Season Promotions. During the peak of prom season, look for targeted deals on Lulus' extensive collection of formal dresses, shoes, and accessories. These are often category-specific coupon codes rather than a storewide sale. This is the best time of year to find a discount on their exclusive formalwear lines before graduation and wedding season demand increases prices and limits stock. |
| Late Summer/Early Fall (August-September) | Annual Wedding Guest Sale. Lulus holds a specific event targeting wedding guest attire. This sale is perfectly timed for fall wedding season and typically features a percentage-off discount on a curated selection of dresses, jumpsuits, shoes, and clutches appropriate for formal events. It's an ideal time to purchase an outfit for any upcoming fall or winter weddings on your calendar before the holiday rush begins. |
Lulus coupon questions
- Can you stack coupons at Lulus?
- No, Lulus allows only one promo code per order. You cannot combine a percentage-off discount with another code, like one for free shipping.
- How do I get a Lulus first time discount?
- By signing up for their email newsletter or SMS marketing, usually through a pop-up on the website. A unique code, typically for 15% off, will be sent to you to use on your first order.
- Does Lulus have a student discount?
- Yes, Lulus offers a 10% discount for students who verify their status through Student Beans. The code you receive cannot be combined with other offers.
- What are Lulus promo code exclusions?
- Promo codes typically do not work on sale items, gift cards, bridal gowns, or beauty and wellness products. Always check the terms of a specific code, as exclusions can vary.
- Is the Lulus Love Rewards program worth it?
- Yes, because it is free to join. All members earn points on purchases and get a birthday reward. Frequent shoppers who reach higher tiers get better perks like early sale access, making it very worthwhile for loyal customers.
- Does Lulus offer free shipping?
- Lulus offers free standard shipping on all US orders over $50. Occasionally, they will run promotions or offer promo codes for free shipping with no minimum spend, but this is not standard.
- What are the tiers in the Lulus Love Rewards program?
- The Lulus Love Rewards program features three tiers: Member, VIP, and All-Star. New customers start as Members. To reach the VIP tier, you generally need to spend around $500 within a calendar year, while the top All-Star tier requires an annual spend of approximately $1000. Each tier progression unlocks better perks, such as early access to sales, exclusive offers, and enhanced birthday rewards. The specific spending thresholds can be confirmed on your account dashboard, which tracks your progress toward the next level and its benefits.
- Does Lulus offer price adjustments if an item's price drops?
- Lulus provides a one time price adjustment on full price merchandise if the item goes on sale within seven days of your original purchase date. This policy does not apply to competitors' pricing. To be eligible, the item must be the exact same style and color and must still be in stock at the new, lower price when you make the request. Items purchased on sale or marked as Final Sale are not eligible for price adjustments. You must contact customer service with your order details to process the request.
- What is the return policy for international orders?
- For international orders, Lulus accepts returns that are postmarked within 45 days of the original purchase date. A key difference from domestic returns is that a flat rate return shipping fee, which varies by country, is deducted from your refund amount. Crucially, Lulus does not offer exchanges on international orders. If you require a different size, color, or style, you must return the initial item for a refund and place an entirely new order, which will be subject to new shipping charges and any applicable duties or taxes.
- How do Lulus gift cards work?
- Lulus offers both electronic and physical gift cards that never expire and have no usage fees. E-gift cards are emailed within hours, while physical cards are mailed. A significant detail is that you can redeem up to five separate Lulus gift cards on a single order during checkout. They can also be used in conjunction with one promotional code. Because they are a form of payment, gift cards can be applied to the entire purchase total, including sale items, taxes, and shipping costs, making them a flexible payment option.

How we check Lulus codes
Most of the money at Lulus sits in loyalty mechanics rather than in a checkout code, so this page is built around verifying those against lulus.com’s own published terms and treats codes as the smaller half of the story. Any code we do list came from a page we can point at, and carries the date we last saw it.
When a shopper reports a code worked or failed at checkout, that vote is recorded and moves the code up or down this page. We publish the failures next to the successes, because a page showing only wins is not telling you the truth about coupon codes, most of which do not work. Codes that keep failing come down rather than stay up collecting clicks. Need something more current? Run a live search for Lulus.
