Kiehl's Coupons & Promo Codes
Kiehl's does issue promo codes, but they are often tied to a minimum spend and may exclude sale items, gift sets, or new launches. The most common offers are for a percentage off (typically 15-30%) or a free deluxe sample set with a qualifying purchase. The best sitewide discounts are reserved for their Friends & Family and Black Friday events. The most reliable way to save year-round is by earning points through the loyalty program.

How to actually save at Kiehl's
Kiehl's is a heritage skincare brand known for its apothecary aesthetic and effective, science-backed formulas. While sitewide promo codes exist, the most consistent and valuable savings come from joining the Kiehl's Rewards loyalty program, shopping during their major Friends & Family sales, and utilizing their subscription service for your favorite products.
- Join Kiehl's Rewards before your first purchase. It's free and you will immediately start earning points toward dollar-off rewards.
- Wait for the Friends & Family sale. This event, typically held in the spring and fall, offers the best sitewide discount of the year, usually 25% or more.
- Use Auto-Replenish for products you buy consistently, like the Ultra Facial Cream or Calendula Toner. The 10% discount and free shipping is a reliable saving.
- Look for value in gift sets, especially around the holidays. They often bundle full-size products for less than the cost of buying them individually.
- Always check the 'Offers' page on their site before checkout. It lists all current promotions, including free gift with purchase deals that you might otherwise miss.
- Participate in the "Recycle and Be Rewarded" program. Bring your empty, full-size Kiehl's product containers to a retail store. For every ten empties you return, you will receive one free travel-size product of your choice, a great way to stock up or try something new.
- Purchase "Jumbo" or value-size versions of staples like the Creme de Corps body lotion or Amino Acid Shampoo. These larger bottles, often featured during major sales, can have a cost-per-ounce up to 30% lower than standard sizes, offering significant long-term savings.
- Strategically time your first Auto-Replenish order to coincide with a sitewide sale. While the 10% replenish discount doesn't stack, your initial order will lock in the higher sale discount, like 25% off, and all subsequent automatic deliveries will then receive the standard 10% discount.
When Kiehl's actually discounts
Timing beats codes at most retailers. This is Kiehl's’s real markdown pattern.
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Friends & Family Sale (Spring & Fall) | The best sale of the year. Kiehl's typically offers 25% to 30% off sitewide, making it the ideal time to stock up or try new products. |
| Black Friday / Cyber Monday (Late November) | A major sale event with sitewide discounts that often rival the Friends & Family sale, plus special doorbuster deals and markdowns on gift sets. |
| Holiday Season (November-December) | Focus on limited-edition holiday gift sets, which offer significant value compared to purchasing items separately. There are often tiered offers like 'spend more, get more' free samples. |
| Early November | Singles' Day Sale: A one-day event just before the Black Friday rush, often featuring a sitewide discount around 25-30% on all orders. |
| Mid-Late April | Earth Day Promotions: Look for special offers that support sustainability, such as bonus rewards points for recycling empties or a free gift with purchase featuring reusable items. |

- Can I stack coupons at Kiehl's?
- No, Kiehl's generally allows only one promotional code per order. You cannot combine a percentage-off code with another offer, such as a code for a free gift with purchase.
- What's the best way to get free shipping at Kiehl's?
- Kiehl's often offers free shipping on orders that meet a certain price threshold (e.g., $50). Members of the Kiehl's Rewards program may also receive free shipping benefits. Additionally, all Auto-Replenish subscription orders ship for free.
- What is Kiehl's return policy for opened or used products?
- Kiehl's offers a 100% money-back guarantee, allowing you to return a product within 28 days of purchase for a full refund, even if it's been gently used. For online orders, you can generate a prepaid return label through their website. For in-store purchases, bring the product and your proof of purchase to any Kiehl's retail location. This "Love It or Leave It" policy lets you try items like the Midnight Recovery Concentrate risk-free. Without a receipt, you may be offered an exchange or store credit at the store's discretion, ensuring you find a product you love.
- What are the different tiers in the Kiehl's Rewards program and what do I get?
- The Kiehl's Rewards program has three tiers based on annual spending. The entry tier, Mint Leaf, is for spending up to $149. The second tier, Sage Leaf, is for spending between $150 and $299 and offers perks like an upgraded birthday gift. The top tier is Olive Leaf, for members spending $300 or more annually. Olive Leaf members receive the best benefits, including early access to new products, invitations to exclusive events, and often receive a full-size product for their birthday, a significant step up from the deluxe samples in other tiers.
- Can I use Kiehl's gift cards at department store counters like Macy's or Nordstrom?
- Kiehl's gift cards, both physical and electronic, are only redeemable at official Kiehl's retail stores and on the U.S. website, kiehls.com. They cannot be used at third-party retailers that carry Kiehl's products, such as Nordstrom, Macy's, or Sephora. These department stores operate with their own separate point-of-sale systems and inventory. This policy ensures a consistent brand experience and allows for direct tracking of your gift card balance through the Kiehl's website. Always plan to use your gift cards directly with the brand to avoid any issues at checkout.
- Does Kiehl's ship internationally from its U.S. website?
- The U.S. Kiehl's website, kiehls.com, exclusively ships to addresses within the United States, its territories, and to APO/FPO addresses. It does not process or ship orders to other international destinations. If you are shopping from outside the U.S., you must use the Kiehl's website designated for your specific country or region. Each country has a localized site to handle local currency, taxes, and shipping regulations, as well as to offer products formulated for that particular market. Using a freight forwarder may result in order cancellation.

How we check Kiehl's codes
Most of the money at Kiehl's sits in loyalty mechanics rather than in a checkout code, so this page is built around verifying those against kiehls.com’s own published terms and treats codes as the smaller half of the story. Any code we do list came from a page we can point at, and carries the date we last saw it.
When a shopper reports a code worked or failed at checkout, that vote is recorded and moves the code up or down this page. We publish the failures next to the successes, because a page showing only wins is not telling you the truth about coupon codes, most of which do not work. Codes that keep failing come down rather than stay up collecting clicks. Need something more current? Run a live search for Kiehl's.
