H&M Coupons & Promo Codes
H&M reliably offers a discount code for signing up for their newsletter, typically for 10-20% off your first order. For existing customers, codes are less common and are usually distributed through the H&M Member program as rewards or during special promotions. Many 'sitewide' codes found on coupon sites are expired, single-use, or specific to the Member program. The best strategy is often to apply a valid member or welcome code to items that are already on sale.
H&M promo codes working right now
Codes below are ordered by how many shoppers reported them working at checkout. We show failure counts too — a code that failed for most people is worth knowing about.
No verified H&M code is live right now.
That is the honest answer, and it is more useful than a list of dead codes. H&M’s reliable savings are the standing offers below — or run a live search and we will scan social posts and deal boards for anything that surfaced in the last few hours.
H&M discounts that work every day
Codes come and go. These are the standing programmes that are available whether or not a code is live, and for most shoppers they are worth more than a one-off code.

How to actually save at H&M
H&M is a global fast-fashion powerhouse offering trendy apparel and home goods at accessible prices. While shoppers frequently hunt for sitewide promo codes, the most consistent and substantial savings at H&M come from joining their free loyalty program, shopping the extensive sale section, and taking advantage of their student and first-order discounts.
- Join the H&M Member program before you do anything else. It is free and immediately unlocks member-only pricing and free shipping thresholds, which are the most reliable discounts available.
- Layer your discounts. The real savings come from applying a member reward or new customer code to an item that is already in the sale section.
- Never check out without first visiting the 'Sale' section. It's vast and often holds better value than a sitewide percentage-off coupon would provide on full-priced items.
- Use the Garment Collecting program. Turn old clothes into a 15% off voucher for a new item. It's an easy way to get a small discount on something you were going to buy anyway.
- If you're a student, always go through UNiDAYS or a similar service to grab your discount code before shopping. It's a consistent 10-15% off that you should not leave on the table.
When H&M actually discounts
Timing beats codes at most retailers. This is H&M’s real markdown pattern.
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Black Friday / Cyber Week (late November) | H&M's biggest sale of the year. Expect sitewide discounts, often tiered by spending amount, and special daily deals for H&M Members. |
| End of Season Sales (January and July) | Deep markdowns on winter and summer collections, respectively. This is when you will find the steepest price cuts, with discounts commonly reaching 70% off. |
| Back to School (August) | Sales focused on basics, denim, hoodies, and children's clothing in preparation for the new school year. |
H&M coupon questions
- How do I get an H&M promo code?
- The most dependable ways are by signing up for their email newsletter to get a first-order discount, or by joining the free H&M Member program to earn points and receive exclusive offers. Sitewide codes for everyone are not very common.
- Does H&M offer a student discount?
- Yes, H&M partners with services like UNiDAYS to offer a student discount, usually around 10% or 15% off. You must have a valid account with the partner service to generate a code for use at checkout.
- What are the benefits of the H&M Member program?
- It's a free loyalty program that gives you points on purchases (150 points = $5 reward), exclusive member-only prices on certain items, a birthday discount, and free shipping on orders over a set amount (e.g., $40).
- Can you stack coupons at H&M?
- H&M's system typically allows only one promo code per order. However, you can often use a promo code on top of sale prices or member-exclusive prices, which is the best way to 'stack' savings.
- Does H&M have free shipping?
- H&M Members get free standard shipping on orders that meet a certain threshold, which is typically around $40. Non-members usually have to spend more or pay for shipping. The higher 'Member Plus' tier often includes free shipping on all orders.
- What is the H&M recycling program?
- Known as the Garment Collecting program, it allows you to drop off a bag of old clothes or textiles from any brand at an H&M store. In return, you receive a digital voucher, typically for 15% off a single item on a future purchase.

How we check H&M codes
Most of the money at H&M sits in loyalty mechanics rather than in a checkout code, so this page is built around verifying those against hm.com’s own published terms and treats codes as the smaller half of the story. Any code we do list came from a page we can point at, and carries the date we last saw it.
When a shopper reports a code worked or failed at checkout, that vote is recorded and moves the code up or down this page. We publish the failures next to the successes, because a page showing only wins is not telling you the truth about coupon codes, most of which do not work. Codes that keep failing come down rather than stay up collecting clicks. Need something more current? Run a live search for H&M.
